The human resource staff had arrived in Plains Estates just prior to the strike. Carla Dean and her son and the Williamson family would be moving into their homes on Saturday. The Williamson’s were an interracial couple.Their daughter Morgan and son Jeffrey would be attending school at Radcliff. Carla’s son Clayton would be going to Martin Luther King middle school. Morgan was obviously mulatto. She had the hardest time in school with her peers. She didn’t seem to fit in anywhere. Now she would be in a school that was already divided racially. |

Jesus made sure he was dressed neatly and that his penmanship could be clearly read before the interviewer came out for the interview. His mother had always taught him to make a good impression. She cautioned him. Always speak English during the entire interview. If they are looking for bi-lingual cashiers then let them know you speak fluent Spanish. |
